How about leaving an interview knowing that you’ve done all you can and if you don’t get the job, you have no regrets?
I’m going to share the secret to achieving this with you.

“What does that mean?” I hear you ask. The good news is everything you need to know about ‘Presence’ can be found in this book: Presence by Amy Cuddy – I’ve read it many times.
Read on to find out how a simple 2 minute hack can boost your confidence
I first learned about Power Posing when I read Amy’s book. She talks extensively about how power posing can help you portray confidence with just your body language. This is her iconic Ted Talk in Edinburgh where she brings the concept to life.
How to Power Pose
10 minutes before your interview, stand in front of a mirror and do a 2 minute power post.
Stand with your feet just over hip width apart, lift your arms up as if you’re celebrating.
Stay like that for 2 minutes. Feel the tips of your fingers reaching to the sky.
It really is a celebration pose.
According to Amy’s study; the increase in testosterone generated by a power pose even just for 2 minutes will boost your confidence and help feel more at ease in tense situations.
If you’re someone who over prepares for interviews you could be increasing your stress levels before you even get started. Amy’s advice is:
“Preparation is obviously important, but at some point, you must stop preparing content and start preparing mind-set. You have to shift from what you’ll say to how you’ll say it.”

Are You’re wondering if this really works?
Read my blog, “Once Upon A Power Pose” and find out how this technique got me a job the hiring manager admitted I wasn’t the most experienced for, but because of my presence in the interview they offered it to me. In other words, they trusted me to do a good job.
In the book Presence, Amy says, ‘Trust is the conduit of influence, the only way to establish real trust is by being present.’
Free yourself from your nerves and anxiousness, just like I did with simple 2 minute interview confidence hack.
